Tshepo Moreki is a excellent seam bowler, originally from Durban in South Africa. A right-handed lower order batsman at First class level, Tshepo is a Right-arm Fast/Medium Seamer. In 2012-13, having represented his native Natal at the National U19 championships, his 13 wickets in 3 games saw him offered his First Class debut and he was selected for the SA U19 side to play the touring England U19 side in February 2013. Tshepo would go on to represent Natal/Dolphins on 40 occasions across all three formats in the two summers that followed.
A move west to spend 3 seasons with the Cape Cobras/Western Province was fruitful but he found a happy home in Pretoria with the TItans/Northerns who he joined in 2018-19, bagging 65 wickets across all 3 formats in the 2 seasons he’d been there. He was also picked up for the Paarl Rocks in the Mzansi T20 League in 2018-19. 2020 saw a move back to the Cobras ahead of the delayed 2020-21 season.
Tshepo has spent one previous summer in the UK, in 2016, having joined Oundle Town CC in the ECB Northamptonshire Premier League. 633 runs @ 24.35 and 29 wickets @ 4-35 was a solid return for Tshepo and he will look to improve on those numbers next time around.
A Cricket South Africa Level 2 coach (ECB Level 3 Equivalent), Tshepo will be a good pick up for any club seeking a genuine new ball bowler with over 170 games/280+ wickets of professional experience for next summer.
