Valentine Kitime

Valentine Kitime is an exciting young batsman, originally from Potchefstroom, South Africa. A gifted Right-hander that looks a million dollars when at his best, he was a regular for the North West Dragons at age group levels before being selected to represent South Africa at the 2022 ICC Under 19 World Cup in the West Indies.

Having represented the SA U19 side prior to the World Cup in the CSA Provincial T20 Cup, on his return from the West Indies, still only 18, Valentine was thrown straight into the frying pan with Boland in Feb 2022, playing the last 3 games of the CSA T20 Challenge, including the final where Boland rolled an absolutely stacked out Northerns side to take home the title.

His List A debut followed a few weeks later and he remained with Boland for a further 12 months until an opportunity to join the Western Province Cobras ahead of the 2023-24 summer on a rookie contract presented itself off the back of having spent the winter with the South African Emerging Players. That move brought about his First Class debut in Oct 2023 and after a further winter with the SA Emerging squad, Valentine was upgraded to a full contract ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Whilst he’d had a slow start to his red-ball career, the start of the 2025-26 season saw Valentine get off to a great start, with a maiden first class hundred, 102 off 149, against the Dolphins.

A player with lots of upward curve, Valentine will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a young middle order batsman that is looking to make his mark in the Northern Hemisphere for the first time in 2026.
