Wesley Coulentianos

Wesley is a quality up and coming Top Order Batsman from Gauteng. A prolific Schoolboy performer, Wesley has come through St John’s College, one of RSA’s best Cricket Schools. A heavy-hitting Left-hander that is comfortable batting from No. 1 to No. 4, Wesley is a clean hitter that can score very quickly.

Having debuted for the Easterns Province in January 2013 as a 19 year old, Wesley has gone on to become a permanent fixture in the top order of his provincial side. Since his debut, Wesley has played over 70 provincial games including 53 First Class matches with a highest score of 171 against Namibia in March 2016.

Wesley headed to the UK for his first season in England in 2019, joining Denby CC in the ECB Derbyshire Premier League. He scored 733 runs @ 34.90 avergaing over 40 in the league and made a strong impression with the clubs youth section and wider membership.

Wes returned to the UK in 2022, scoring 1026 runs @ 42.75 for Potterne CC in a successful campaign that saw the club reach the National 40-over Semi’s and 2nd in the WEPL Premier League. He also bagged 21 wickets as well.

Constantly improving and appearing to simply get better each summer, Wesley will be a great pick up for a UK club. Wesley is also a capable left-arm orthodox spinner, Wesley is keen to work on his bowling whilst in the UK and will provide an all round option for whatever club he joins for next summer.
