Wesley Landsdale is an experienced Professional Player/Coach from Johannesburg, South Africa. An attacking Right-hander that can play all around the ground, he was a regular feature for Gauteng at age group level and represented the SA Schools side. Wesley is a Cricket South Africa Level 2 coach (ECB Level 3 Equivalent). After opting to study after school, upon graduating, he re-focused on cricket and made his professional debut for his home province, Gauteng, against North West in 2012. He would go on to represent Gauteng/Northern Cape on 70 occasions at professional level with over 2000 runs including a best of 203* (214) for Northern Cape when forced to follow on against his native Gauteng. Wes is also a part-time but capable Off-Spinner.

Wes spent 4 seasons in the UK as a club overseas. In 2008, whilst at Glastonbury CC as a 19 year-old, he was called upon to play for Somerset 2nd XI against Yorkshire at Todmorden. Having been set 295 off 55 overs to win in a 3-day game on the last afternoon, his 41* (30) ensured an unlikely Somerset victory was pulled off. After a 4-year hiatus whilst studying, Wesley returned to the UK in 2013 for what would be a 3-season stint with Rochdale CC in the old Central Lancashire League through to 2015. He piled on over 3500 runs and took over 70 wickets in his time at Redbrook.

Following an opportunity to set up a Coaching franchise in Cape Town, Wes turned his attention to his career off the field. Having spent 2 years in Cape Town he got an opportunity to return to Johannesburg, joining firstly St Johns College (Coach) and subsequently, King Edward VII School (Director of Sport), two of the most prestigious schools in South Africa.

In summer 2021, Wes and his wife, Mel relocated permanently to the United Kingdom. Linking with Rugby CC, they are now settled here. Wesley slotted back into Club Cricket like a duck to water, scoring almost 3,000 runs across the 2021 and 2022 summers.

Wesley resides in the UK on a spousal visa.
