Xara Jetly

Xara Jetly is one of New Zealand Cricket’s most exciting young prospects. A capable Right-hander down the order, Xara’s main discipline is her crafty Right-arm Off Spin. With the occasional Leggie thrown in for good measure, Xara’s desire to master both spin disciplines and generally improve herself and her cricket, are two very noticeable characteristics of what makes up a very impressive young cricketer.

Very much a cricket enthusiast, Xara is eager to play as much cricket as possible. Keen to play both men’s & women’s competitions, Xara will use the overseas experience wisely by developing not just her on-field craft but by being actively involved in Coaching, something she is very passionate about.

Having excelled in Indoor Cricket, representing NZ, Xara is a regular in the Wellington Blaze side that contests the 50-over and T20 domestic competitions in New Zealand, becoming an integral part of the Blaze XI.

Xara headed to the UK for the first time in 2023, linking with Avebury CC and Royal Wootton Bassett CC to play with their Men’s and Ladies team respectively. Xara was outstanding on and off the field, with 25 wickets @ 16.80 and 260 runs @ 23, she was an instrumental support for the Avebury Club as well as Marlborough College’s Girl cricket program from a coaching perspective.

A real go-getter, Xara owns her own coaching business for girls and boys aged 6-16 and will be an great pick up for any UK Club.
