Yaseen Vallie is one of the most experienced Professional cricketers within the South African domestic system. A serial performer, particularly in red-ball cricket, Yaseen originates from the Western Cape and debuted for the Western Province Senior Provincial side as a a 19-year old. An elegant right-hander with a deft touch, Yaseen has captained both the Warriors and Cobras in a career that is into its 13th Season. Yaseen also bowls tidy right-arm Off Spin.

After an outstanding youth career for Western Province, Yaseen was selected to play for South Africa in the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup as an all-rounder. On his return, he signed his first Professional contract with Western Province and made an impression as a reliable right-handed batsman as well as a bit of a “golden arm” with the ball. Eventually a franchise opportunity would come and he didn’t waste it, scoring 167 in 2011.

Yaseen was offered an opportunity to link with the Warriors Franchise in Port Elizabeth for summer 2015-16 and in his 5 seasons in the Eastern Cape, played some of his best cricket for the Warriors. Whilst higher honours would evade him, he has been one of the best performed and reliable Batsmen in South African domestic cricket over the last decade. He returned to the Cobras ahead of the 2021-22 season to assume a leadership role amongst a talented but young bunch of players.

In his only season of UK Cricket, Yaseen joined Colne CC in the Lancashire League for their 2016 campaign. A productive season was cut short by a back injury after sliding and falling on a wet Lancashire wicket. He left the country having scored 624 runs @ 44.57 and bagged 34 wickets @ 21.14.

Seeking a return to the UK next summer, Yaseen will be a great pick up for any UK Club seeking a classy top order Batsman that can contribute with the ball next summer.
