Yashodha is a destructive batting allrounder currently playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka for the famous Galle CC. He has been a proven first class performer since making his debut in 2011. He currently has 6 hundreds and 15 fifties to his name in 59 first class matches. Highlights of his career started in 2009 where under his captaincy he represented the Sri Lankan Under 19 team. He represented the Sri Lankan Under 19 team for 4 years. A very special moment came in 2011 where he smashed 213 against England. To this date that is still the highest individual record in Sri Lanka by an Under 19 player.
In 2011 and 2014 these impressive displays saw him able to showcase his talents in the Champions league in India for his provincial teams Ruhuna and Southern express. Yash is an agressive, free scoring batsman with a variety of shots all around the wicket. He can bowl more than useful left arm seam but is also capable of bowling some handy leg spin depending on the situation.
In 2021 he ventured to the Uk to play for Wollaton CC in the ECB Nottinghshire Premier league, where his start was delayed due to Covid restrictions but he finished a solid first season scoring 974 runs in all games and chipped in with 15 wickets. He returned in 2022 for Kearsley CC where he scored 550 runs and took 24 wickets, but had to leave early due to his father being sick. He is now a fully acredited level 2 coach who is keen to coach. He is looking to return for the 2023 season for a full season and would represent an excellent signing for any club looking for a powerhouse batting allrounder.
