Nick Greenwood is an talented All-Rounder, based in Wellington, New Zealand and currently represents the Wellington Firebirds in the NZC Domestic competitions as well as Taita CC in the Wellington Premier League. Born in Jersey, Nick’s family moved to New Zealand when he was two years old.

An enigmatic, Right-handed Top Order Batsman, Nick also bowls useful Right-arm Off & Leg Spin. Nick’s clean-striking saw him feature as a regular for a variety of Wellington representative teams throughout his age-group journey. He made his senior debut for Wellington in their A side at 19.

Having linked with Bowdon CC in Cheshire during 2019, Nick was given the opportunity to play a couple of games for the Lancashire 2nd XI, scoring 144 runs @ 36.00. At the end of the summer, Nick was named in Jersey’s Twenty20 International squads for the series against Qatar and the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates. He made his T20I debut for Jersey, against Qatar, scoring an impressive 42 (25). A month later, Nick was named in Jersey’s squad for the Cricket World Cup Challenge League tournament in Oman, finishing as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 809 runs @ 53.93 with 3 hundreds.

A little over 12 months later, in December 2020, Nick was awarded was named in Wellington’s squad to play in the 2020–21 Ford Trophy in New Zealand and by the next summer, off the back of some strong showings for Wellington A, he made his first-class debut in the 2021–22 Plunket Shield season. Nick returned to the UK in summer 2022, joining Bromley Common CC for their Kent League campaign but played limited games with Jersey duty taking over the summer.

Nick returned to the UK in 2023, joining Sussex Premier League club, Roffey CC. His return was solid, with 529 runs @ 40.69 and 15 wickets @ 20.67.

A class bat and handy spinner, Nick will be an excellent pick up for any UK club seeking a game changing all-rounder for next summer that benefits from a UK Passport. Nick will miss one game mid-season for National team Duty.
