We used World Sports Xchange in the 2009 season and they recruited us a player from Australia. I think I can speak on behalf of the entire club in saying that he was one of the best overseas players we have ever had and were sorry to see him go. Robbie provided a great deal of support before and during the season and did an excellent job in recruiting the right player for us. Our offer wasn’t the best, and we were looking for a specific type of player, not only did Robbie provide us with someone who was well matched for the standard of our league, they were also a great guy to have around and mix in with everyone at our cricket club. All the relevant paperwork and visa applications were completed with the minimum of fuss and on time allowing the player to arrive well on time.

I will be forever grateful for the opportunity World Sports Xchange gave me in my first venture in to playing in the UK. I had been let down in previous season by major agents but my patience was rewarded when I began to deal with Rob. We decided to use the World Sports Xchange service for the first time to recruit our overseas player for the 2010 season. From our first chat to the final exchange of contracts we found the service that Rob offered to be highly efficient, responsive and professional. This year was the first year that Bradenham Cricket Club has used Rob Humphries to source an overseas player. The first attempts were unsuccessful although not due to any way to Rob’s input. Indeed, following the withdrawal of the players availability, this made Rob even more determined to find us the player we needed. He managed this well and we have a player who is currently performing well for us. There were a couple of teething problems early on but Rob maintained his interest and helped smooth these over quickly. We would not hesitate to use him again in future seasons.

In the 3 years that I have been responsible for locating and negotiating with overseas players and agents I have dealt with numerous agents. Their standard has ranged from appalling to excellent. I can honestly say that Rob Humphries has been the most professional and up front agent I have dealt with. The league we play in the North East Premier League is a very competitive league and I have found that other agents are very happy to recommend players that are not good enough to play within the league to ensure that they place their client. Whereas Rob gave excellent advice about whether he thought a player which he represented would be of the required standard.

I also found Rob extremely efficient in negotiations; it took 7 days from the club informing him that we were interested in one of his players to receiving the signed contract from the player. Rob was always willing to answer queries by emails or phone and always replied swiftly which is not always the case with other agents.
