Dilivio Ridgard is an emerging talent from Bloemfontein in South Africa’s Free State Province. An excellent gloveman, Dilivio is a stroke-making, Left-handed Top Order Batsman that can bat anywhere in the top 7 and has done across all three formats for his native Free State. A regular selection in the Free State age group sides, he was selected for the province from U13 level in 2011 right through the U19 age group when selected as a 17 year old.
Having been a standout performer in the VKB Knights Academy and University of Free State sides throughout 2017-18 it was only a matter of time before Dilivio would debut in all three formats as 2018 progressed. His first senior provincial appearance got off to a good start, with a solid 39* (53) in a one-dayer against Namibia. His First Class debut would see him reach 52 (134) in a patient knock that saw Free State secure a draw against a strong Northerns side.
Dilivio will be a great pick up for any UK club seeking a classy Left-hander that is also a keen coach that can take the gloves for next summer.
