Gustav “Gus” McKeon is a talented young French/Australian All-rounder from Perth, Australia. A hard-hitting Right-hander who can bat anywhere in the order, Gus is also a skilful Right-arm Medium/Fast Seamer. Currently representing Perth Cricket Club in the WACA Premier Cricket competition, Gus is also a French International.

Gus started his cricket at the age of 9 with Ellenbrook Rangers Cricket Club (ERCC). As a youth, Gus’s batting developed more so than his bowling but at 15 was graded by his former club, Bayswater-Morley DCC as an all-rounder. After 3 seasons with his first senior club, Gus switched to Perth CC early in the 2021-22 season.

In 2022, Gus was given an opportunity to link with the French National Cricket side. He joined them in Kerava, Finland for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 qualifiers in July and his impact was immediate, striking 76 (54) on debut against the Czech Republic. He then followed this up not only becoming the youngest player to score a Hundred in T20I history with his 109 (61) against Switzerland but becoming the first player to go in the T20I record books to score back to back Hundreds in T20I with his 53-ball, 101 against Norway.

A good all-round cricketer that is also excellent in the field, Gus sought his first season in the UK in 2023, joining ECB East Anglian premier League stalwarts, Horsford CC. Whilst his stats didn’t hit the numbers he’d had liked, he did help win a couple of crucial games for the club including the Norfolk T20 final and a must-win game against Mildenhall.

Seeking to return to the UK next summer, Gus will be an good pick up for any club seeking a genuine seam-bowling all-rounder for next summer that will also be a good fit socially.
