Jake is an outstanding batting talent, originally from Darwin in the Northern Territory but now based in Tasmania. A brutal, left-handed, opening batsman who debuted for South Australia in both 4-day & 1-Day, he switched to Tasmania ahead of the 2023-24 summer. Jake has been a regular feature for the Adelaide Strikers in the Australian Big Bash League.

Jake first appeared on the domestic scene in summer 2015–16, making his first-class debut for South Australia in the Sheffield Shield at Coffs Harbour against New South Wales, banging 58 off 83 balls in his first professional knock. He scored two quality half-centuries in the Shield final in a losing cause.

Since his first appearances, Jake has been a common sight amongst South Australian and Strikers squads in every season and his overall career performances to date have been somewhat underrated. He was also selected for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League.

In summer 2022, Jake headed to the UK, linking with Barnsley Woolley Miners CC in the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League after making a late call on travelling in the winter. It was worth it, as Jake struck 1815 runs @ 72.60 including a breath-taking 270 (107) including 27 sixes as BWMCC amassed 512/9 off their 50 Overs.

Jake returned to Barnsley in 2023, pumping out 936 runs @ 55.06 in a much less batter friendly season but still a great return from the powerful left-hander.

A great guy, keen coach and one hell of a cricketer, Jake will be a popular choice for any UK club seeking a hard-hitting, game-changing top order Batsman for next summer. Jake will be joined by his partner at some stage during the summer.
