Patrick is an talented all-rounder and long-term Provincial performer in South Africa for the Free State Provincial side. A regular through the age groups, he worked his way through all the Free State rep teams from U13 through to the U19 Khaya Majola Coke Week squad. Pat has been a permanent fixture in the provincial senior side since his 2009 debut and is a member of the Provinces leadership group, having captained the Province on a number of occasions.

Patrick had a fantastic 2011 scoring 513 first class runs at 46.63 and showed his all-round ability, taking 12 wickets with his off-spin. These impressive displays didn’t go unnoticed and later that year was selected for the South African academy team for the visit of Bangladesh and then the return tour a few months later.

Patrick had his 1st season in the UK in 2012 playing for Tynemouth CC in the North East Premier league where after a difficult start and a dreadfully wet summer, contributed well with both bat and ball scoring 737 runs and also took 45 wickets. He followed this up with a excellent performances for Carrickfergus CC in Ireland between 2016-2018. Racking up 797 runs @ 56 & 20 wickets @ 25 in 2016, he returned in 2017 and was again a solid performer with 494 @ 38.00 but summer 2018 wasn’t so successful, with a broken thumb restricting his batting prowess in a lovely dry summer for batting, scoring 321 runs @ 29.18.

Pat returned to Ireland in 2023, joining Waringstown CC in the Northern Cricket Union and had a renaissance of sorts with an excellent all round performance, 713 runs @ 39.61 and 29 wickets @ 23.93 was an outstanding return in his first season abroad since 2018.

A very hard working cricketer, who also loves to coach kids of all age groups, Pat is looking to return to the Northern Hemisphere next summer to play a top level of cricket and would be a great option to any club looking for a genuine all-rounder and a great lad to boot.
