Tafara is an experienced right-arm seamer from Redcliff on the outskirts of Kwekwe in Zimbabwe. A right arm medium-fast swing bowler, Tafara is a right-handed lower order batsman. A late bloomer, he didn’t appear in any form of professional cricket until he was 26.

That professional debut came in the form of a solitary, wicketless 1-Day game in 2013 and another in 2014 before a 3 year absence was over and he returned to franchise cricket in the 2016-17 season. His return to the Franchise system was reward for consistent club performance and since his return to the Rhinos side, he has maintained his place, collecting 28 wickets in the 13 games @ 27.46 a piece.

Despite not having a formal coaching qualification, he is a keen coach and has coached at the Private School, Goldridge Primary. He is keen to complete a Level 2 qualification and be actively involved in youth coaching.

Seeking his first stint in the UK in 2024, Tafara will be a good value pick up for a club seeking a new ball bowler for next summer with some good First Class performances behind him.
