Timycen Maruma

Timycen is a genuine All-Rounder from Zimbabwe. Having represented his country in all 3 formats on 28 occasions, Timycen would be a great acquisition for any club.

A hard-hitting middle order Batsman, crafty leg-spinner and athletic fielder, make Timycen an exciting cricketer. A player with genuine all-round ability, Timycen is an ‘X’ Factor type player that still has the ambition and drive to make himself a permanent fixture in the National Team. After a sensational first appearance in the UK in 2012 with Lancaster, where he scored 800 runs/36 wickets, Timycen returned to the Northern Hemisphere in 2018, joining Balbriggan CC in the Republic of Ireland.

Throughout 2018, Timycen once again showed his valued as a genuine all-rounder, scoring 673 runs @ 48.07 with a best of 125 against Rush CC and collecting 25 wickets @ 18.76 with a best of 5-22 against Railway Union.

He returned to the UK in summer 2019, joining Cherry Tree CC for their Ribblesdale League campaign and despite re-injuring a shoulder problem, put together 705 runs @ 47.00 and collecting 31 wickets @ 22.13.

In summer 2022, Timycen picked up a serious injury prior to travelling but to his credit, travelled anyway and took on more of a coaching role until he was completely recovered. It was a tough season for the club but they managed to stay up with Timy scoring 423 runs and bagging 20 wickets.

Timycen is looking to return next summer and will be a great all-rounder pick up for next summer who will be back to full fitness from the outset.
