Tinashe Muchawaya

Tinashe Muchawaya is a talented seam-bowling all-rounder from Mutare, Zimbabwe. A capable Right-handed Middle/Lower Order Batsman, Tinashe is also an energetic Right-arm Medium/Fast bowler. A hard hitting and aggressive striker of the ball, Tinashe has been used from 6-9 in the batting order for the Mountaineers but has always put a high price on his wicket. His strike prowess in the white-ball game has been excellent, bagging 28 wickets in his first 18 games in the big time.

Having represented the Zimbabwe Rising Stars on his professional debut, he is now a regular for the Mountaineers Franchise and in November 2022 was selected to represent the Southerns in the Zimbabwe Cricket Regional Pro 50 Tournament off the back of 15 wickets in 10 One-Day games to start the 2022-23 season.

At club level, Tinashe is representing Westside Cricket Club in the Zimbabwe National League competition and no surprises that he is one of their top performers, breaking a club record of five consecutive man of the match awards in summer 2021-22.

Seeking his first season in the UK in 2023, Tinashe joined Rockingham Colliery CC in the South Yorkshire Cricket League, bagging 41 wickets @ 17.49 and chipping in with 497 runs @ 26.16

Tinashe will be a good pick up for any UK club seeking a genuine seam-bowling all-rounder for next summer that holds an ECB Level 2 coaching qualification and has previous experience in UK conditions.
